University Mission

The mission of Wright University is to provide equal access to bespoke paths of academic excellence. The members of the WU professional community place emphasis on providing educational opportunities to the black community, indigenous populations, people of color, women, first-generation college students, the LGBTQIA+ community, people with disabilities, and veterans. WU provides a broad and functional education across global initiatives, an anti-xenophobic curriculum, and excellence planning in order to prepare students for success beyond their university years. By creating access to education across demographics within the framework of a historically aware, anti-xenophobic, curriculum, we produce compassionate leaders who can create positive social change for a just society.

Additionally, students will see themselves reflected in their educators, mentors, and the models for success supported by the institution. We are dedicated to exceptional teaching, community engagement, administration, and innovative research.

This mission is regarded by all faculty and staff as a living entity that will evolve and grow to reflect the needs of the student body.
